INVISIBLE BEAD EXTENSIONS 101

What’s the difference between IBE® and other “invisible” methods?

IBE® was created with the health of the client’s scalp and hair at the top of their list. They created a unique track that focuses on flexibility and equal weight distribution.

With IBE®, their focus is on the precision of stitching and beadwork which allows for a longer time in between move ups.

What kind of hair is used?

Only the best hand tied hair extensions are used with IBE®.

What is the maintenance like?

Return for maintenance every 6-10 weeks. Don’t tug on or cut any thread or string. Don’t sleep with wet extensions. Don’t use sunscreens with avabenzone as the active ingredient. If you use a spray sunscreen, completely cover all of your extensions + hair.

After-care for your extensions

Brush your hair + extensions daily. Also, brush them before washing your hair + extensions. When brushing, use a boar bristle or extension brush. Hold your head where your wefts are sewn, as to not damage the wefts. Not holding could cause unraveling and/or matting.

Always blow dry the top of the wefts where they are sewn to at least 90% dry. You want to blow-dry on top and underneath and dry it as smooth as possible. You can air dry your natural hair and the rest of your extensions from mid-ends.

How much does IBE® cost?

There are many factors that contribute to how many rows/wefts you will need. Therefore we recommend a consultation appointment so your stylist can go over all of that with you.

What shampoo should I use?

Always use sulfate free products on your extensions. Extensions need extra moisture, be sure to do a deep conditioning hydrating treatment at least once a month. Use an oil on extensions, especially on the ends. We don’t recommend using purple shampoo on your extensions unless you dilute it with regular shampoo + extra water. Always rinse your shampoo + conditioner thoroughly.

What’s the best way to sleep in extensions?

We recommend you sleep with a silk pillow case. If you pull your hair up to sleep, use a silk scrunchie.
